I bought this tv from local CC store in Jan '06. I didn't plan to pick up another tv but I was attracted by the design. The main reason
Picture quality is great!(but don't compare to Sony though) The two built-in speakers is just ok. I hooked up my unit with a sound system. I have this TV for about a year and never have had any problem with it. Great value!
I hate the sleep function on this thing. The 4 settings are 5 mins - 10 mins - 15 mins and 30 mins. This does't work for me since I don't fall asleep in 30 minutes! I just bought a 19" TV from the same line and the sleep function is much better (6 settings from 15 mins to 120 mins) |
PWW Service Customer Resolution

PWW Service apologizes for any difficulty Mr. Coombes experienced with obtaining service. We successfully complete thousands of service calls per year, however there will be instances where issues arise and the service call is problematic.
In Mr. Coombes case we worked with the manufacturer and retailer to resolve the issue on the same day that his review was written.
While this case was unfortunate, it by no means reflects the standard processes within PWW Service, nor the outstanding quality of the Polaroid brand.
PWW Service appreciates the feedback, and if there are any questions customers can call us at 1-866-396-6322.
Thanks again,

Polaroid 32 inch 3201 LCD

Honestly for the price I couldn't be happier with this TV. It's now going on 4 years and I haven't had one problem with it. I use this TV as a dual purpose unit. It's main purpose serves as my PC LCD and it's 2nd purpose is for an Xbox 360. I'm able to run the PC resolution at 1280 by 720 through a DVI connection which gives me plenty of desktop real estate.
The other purchasers of this unit must have purchased lemons because I haven't had any trouble with it. 4 years ago I paid nearly $1000 for it at CC and it was worth every penny. I didn't give it a 5 because it's far from perfect. However, for the price I highly recommend it. |
I've had mine for four years

| I have had no problems with my TV. I have moved six times. It's been in the trunk of two cars. It's moved from state to state and it still works. The big issue to me is the lack of HDMI inputs and the overall picture quality which has been far exceeded in terms of frequency, response time, and dynamic contrast. Four years ago, it was a steal for $1,000.00. I don't know about anyone else, but I just bought an upgrade big screen and I'm moving my Polaroid FLM-3201 to the bedroom. I got my money's worth out of it and will continue to get more value, but if I were shopping right now I'd say no. No way. |
Don't buy from Polaroid!

| I could really just cut and paste the review from John Appleseed, as my experience with this TV is virtually the same as his. The TV worked fine for just over a year, when, as soon as the one year warranty expired, the TV shut off and could not be turned back on. Customer service steered me to a local repair shop that has had the TV for over a three months, and though they call Polaroid for the necessary part, can't seem to get the part shipped to them or find out if the part is in stock. The service company suggested I call Polaroid customer service to complain, which I did, and the conversation with the CSR was laughable. I started my conversation with "hello, I have a TV, which is out of warranty, in for repair and the service provider can't get parts from your company"...the woman responds with "when did you purchase the TV?" I answer with "just over a year ago", to which she responds, "ohhhh, sorry, it's out of warranty", as if she'd just solved my problem. The conversation only got more ridiculous from there. I did get the number of a "supervisor", who I still have not heard from and assume that I won't. The long and short of it is, if your TV goes out after warranty, you're due for a few months of watching your backup analog TV that hopefully, you stored in a closet somewhere. You'll also pay more for repairs than the TV is worth and will be throwing good money after bad. Don't buy from Polaroid ever, they're unresponsive, have insanely bad customer service, and build low quality televisions that expire after a year. |
