Haier has TV with WiTricity, wireless power
ByTo everyone, sooner or later, it happened to think: “I wonder if you can ever supply a technological object without using cables” … Well, that dream is now reality at CES in Las Vegas.
Haier has tabled a new TV technology that uses wireless transmission WiTricity (from English “wireless electricity”), developed by MIT and is capable of transmitting energy with a good level ofefficiency.
The trick lies in “non-radiation magnetic resonance coupling” resulting from the connection between the resonance properties of electromagnetic transmitters and receivers that vibrate at the same frequency are able to transfer electricity wirelessly.
Technicalities aside, what concerns us is that shortly we will take our TV, hang on the wall and forget about wires and various cables, all with a certified (FCC, IEEE and 3C), secure andwithout harmful radiation.
Besides feeding the new wireless TV from Haier also benefits WHDI, technology can connect a camera to transmit HD signals up to 1080p. With this system (which is over the walls in a radius of 30 meters) can be used as a Blu-Ray source and watch the same movie in different rooms of the house with a single reader.
It seems that the future has already arrived, we can only wait for prices and furtherinformation on this technology that we believe should be mandatory on every object hi-tech!
