Soon in Europe the first ultra-thin OLED TVs
By
OLED displays in 2013 will have a margin for growth four times higher than in 2007, according to a study of Japanese society Fuji Chimera Research.
Future generations will benefit from thin monitor with brighter colors than liquid crystal or plasma display (LCD), with the great advantage of a low energy consumption.
The only factors that have so far slowed the spread are in the high cost of the production process and the duration much lower than liquid crystal displays.
In the Japanese market and the U.S., already last December, Japan’s Sony released the first models of TV with OLED screen, though in limited quantities.
According to reports today by the business newspaper Nikkei, Sony will expand sales by next year in Europe with the first ultra-thin televisions.
Expect the strategies of all other producers.
