Notion Smartpad Ink: Tablet with Android and Display Pixel Qi
ByAt CES 2010 in Las Vegas each January Notion Ink will present a smartpad, tablet based on NVIDIA’s Tegra platform with Android operating system and display Pixel Qi.
The 10.1-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels can be operated in two modes using the Pixel Qi. Indoors the screen looks like a traditional color LCD with backlight, while the screen looks like an open e-ink in 64 shades of gray light from the sun.
Among the technical features of the tablet to report the complete set of sensors with accelerometers, proximity sensors, ambient light sensors and humidity sensors and processing oleofobico the touchscreen.
No information given on price, but market studies indicate that the psychological threshold of purchase of these devices is around $ 300. To ensure that price producers will have to resort to the agreements with carriers and content providers to subsidize the purchase with a subscription mesylate.
