Buying Guide:LCD Monitors

Like many electronic devices including computer monitors have a long list of specifications. The most important, we have listed here:
Screen Size: Always take the biggest screen you can afford. You can read better on screen and it fit more content into the visible range. The size is measured diagonally in inches. The common sizes are 15, 17, 19 and 21 inches. In the item description in addition to the screen size in inches, the width of the bezel, and a reference to the actual screen size should be specified.
Screen resolution: The resolution is in pixels per inch (ppi = pixels measured per inch) or pixels per inch (dpi = dots per inch). There is a horizontal and a vertical figure, these numbers are bigger, the better the resolution. Most users use a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels per inch or dpi. CRT monitors are optimized for multiple resolutions, LCD monitors usually only for one. Compare different LCD monitors best described in terms of its standard resolution.
Distance between the dots (Dot Pitch): This is the distance between the individual pixels on the screen. Depending on the number lower the greater the severity.
Options for manual settings: Choose a monitor, where you can adjust the settings manually. You can adjust the width and height, sharpness, contrast, brightness, and the left-right or top-down orientation (tracking) as it is most convenient for you.
Computer Connection: A TFT LCD display allows you to connect best with a DVI connection (Digital Visual Interface) for the best video transfer. Please note that your video card must support DVI. Otherwise, as with the CRT monitors analog connections common.
