Panasonic TX-32LZD85F

Panasonic TX-32LZD85FIt’s been a long time since the last time we got to try our laboratories is an LCD TV Panasonic. The Japanese giant renews its range of televisions is slow, so as soon as we were informed that we had the opportunity to test the first 32-inch Full-HD Panasonic, we have not jumped at the chance.

Like the previous series, the new 32-inch with 100 Hz, which some might not like it and find even counterproductive. This TV, however, has some unquestionable quality, which other models can not even approach, and that make the TX-32LZD85F one of the best TV 32 “inch Full-HD market.

Design and finishing

The lines of the television are of a sobriety exemplary, and materials of the highest quality. Is the first time that Panasonic uses a bar under the panel to complement the speakers. As we will see this solution, in terms of fine aesthetics, penalizes audio performance.

Ergonomics

The menus are relatively simple, and the number of entries tolerable. In our view, the absence of a numerical value on the scale of each adjustment is a minor flaw, it prevents us from even to recommend precise values for the adjustments. In any case, once set correctly on the TV, this problem becomes negligible. The remote it seemed a bit too large and massive, disproportionate in size to control a television so small.

Envelope

The budget is limited, in relation to the sale price, on average around 1200 euros. Unacceptable, especially, the absence of DVB-T HD tuner for reception of television channels in high definition (HDTV) on a TV of this price range. Panasonic gives us a memory-card reader, but we would rather avoid in favor of a DVB-T HD.

Consumption

The consumption is above average. We refer in particular consumption in stand-by, which still stands on the 18 W just plug the TV and then going down to little more than 2 W when the Panasonic really goes on standby. Consumption during normal operation of the TV is in line with the mark made by Sony 32W4000. The Panasonic TV is, however, lacks the light sensor and its consumption is independent of the type of image displayed on the screen.
Consumption in stand-by 2 – 15 W
Consumption at 250 cd / m 2 124 W
OSD Adjustment to reach 250 cd / m 2 No numerical scale OSD!
Dynamic power as a function of the content no
Dynamic power as a function of external brightness no
