Some tips to correctly position an LCD TV
ByIn the correct positioning of an LCD television, some aspects that come into play in the case of conventional TVs could be neglected.
First LCD televisions, through reduced thickness, can be easily mounted on the wall. If you use a medium which does not allow rotation, you should avoid choosing a position on which they can be reflected light sources of different nature (thus avoiding the installation of front windows brightly lit by the sun or other artificial light sources).
Equally important is the distance, especially for large format televisions. As a general rule, the minimum distance is approximately 3 times the height of the monitor (or 3.73 times the diagonal of the TV in inches).
This means that you go from 120 cm for a TV with a diagonal of 32 “to 190 cm in a 50″.
It should be noted that these values are the minimum and that in calculating the correct distance can also take over subjective aspects.
Another element to consider is then the vertical viewing angle, which depends on the height of the screen the observer. The optimal condition is that this value is zero (ie the center of the screen should be at eye of the observer) and in all cases you should not choose a viewing angle of over 35 °. This means that the television can be mounted with the center up to a height, than the visual angle, equal to 0:57 for the distance of the observer
